We offer a wide range of clubs which alternate during the year, e.g. gym, netball, tag rugby, knitting, board games, homework club, Urdd, gardening, art, I.C.T, cookery and football. Children are encouraged to take part in competitive sports on an equal opportunities basis and the school has football, netball and rounder pitches and team games are played regularly. Our pitches are available for hire to the local community and are also used over the summer by play schemes.
Pupils in Key Stage 2 are taken to Denbigh Swimming Baths regularly and are encouraged to take part in distance awards and life saving certificates. Throughout the year pupils take part in galas and sports festivals for football, netball and athletics.
We also hold our own Sports Day annually, when all children are given the opportunity to compete and parents encouraged to support.
A regular programme of out of school visits is followed, visiting places of educational worth, both as a support to the curriculum and as a way of making learning meaningful and enjoyable.
Parents are informed of such visits before they take place. All visits are carried out within Denbighshire L.E.A. Guidelines.
Class teachers each host an after school club every week. We also have our own, paid for, out of school club run by Puddleducks All day care (see below for more details).
