Eco club
Eco club meets every half term for a full council meeting in collaboration with Ysgol Llanbedr. All pupils from Years 2 and up are welcome to join to help make our school more environmentally friendly and progress from our Silver award to the Green Flag.
Healthy Schools Scheme
Denbighshire’s Healthy Schools Scheme looks at ways in which we, as schools, can contribute to the health of pupils, teachers and the wider school community through the development of a health promoting school environment.
There are nine health promoting themes that we work towards to achieve Healthy Schools status:-
- Emotional Health and Well Being
- Physical Activity
- Food and Nutrition
- Substances
- The School Environment
- Safety
- Sexual Health and Relationships
- Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship
- Staff Health and Well Being
At Ysgol Trefnant we have achieved phase 3 of the Healthy Schools award, in which we have covered six of the above themes and we are working towards Phase 4.
Ysgol Trefnant is also a Fairtrade School
